Marketing of plant protection products
Plant protection products are used to protect plants from pests. They must must be authorised before they can be placed on the market and used.. The authorisation procedure is carried out according to the Plant Protection Products Ordinance. Licensed agents are entered into Annex 1 of this Ordinance, subdivided into the categories of chemical substances, microorganisms and macroorganisms. The SECB issues Statements on plant protection produces that contain microorganisms or macroorganisms, evaluating the biosafety of the active agents and the products.
