Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser

According to ADR 1.8.3 any institution involved in the carriage or the related packing, loading, filling or unloading of infectious substances and genetically modified organisms assigned to

  • Category A (UN 2814, transport sheet 1.1.1a or UN 2900, transport sheet 1.2.1a),
  • Medical waste (UN 3291, transport sheets 1.1.3, 1.1.7, 1.2.3 and 1.2.7) exceeding a net quantity of 333 kg per transport unit,
  • Genetically modified (micro)organisms (UN 3245, transport sheets 2.1.x, 2.2.x and 2.3.x) exceeding a net quantity of 333 kg per transport unit

must appoint one or more safety advisers for the carriage of dangerous goods, responsible for helping to prevent the risks inherent in such activities with regard to persons, property and the environment.
